We all come in different shapes and sizes, and during the testing phase, brands are keen to ensure their products fit well for everyone.

Understanding your precise measurements and clothing size can assist brands in various ways:

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of accurately measuring yourself to complete your MESH01 Product Tester profile. By doing so, you’ll help brands gather the necessary body measurement and clothing size data to tailor better experiences for you and countless others.


How to Take Your Body Measurements for Your MESH01 Profile:

Height:

  1. For this measurement, having a partner to help is best.
  2. Find a flat surface against a wall.
  3. Remove shoes and any head accessories that may interfere with your results.
  4. Stand against the wall with feet flat. Your heels touching the corner where the wall meets the floor.
  5. Ensure your head, shoulders, and buttocks touch the wall.
  6. Stand straight, eyes forward, chin parallel to the floor.
  7. Have your partner place a flat object against the wall, touching the top of your head.
  8. Lightly mark the wall where the object meets your head.
  9. Use a tape measure to measure from the floor to the mark.
  10. Record the measurement on your MESH01 Profile.

Weight:

  1. Grab your digital scale and find a flat surface.
  2. Remove shoes and any heavy clothing/accessories.
  3. Stand centered on the scale.
  4. Round your weight to the nearest whole number and record your measurement on your MESH01 Profile.

Shoulder Width:

  1. For this measurement, having a partner to help is best.
  2. Start with a tape measure at the outside edge of one shoulder, where the horizontal part meets the arm.
  3. Measure over the curve of the shoulders to the outside edge of the other shoulder.
  4. Round your measurement to the nearest whole number and record your measurement on your MESH01 Profile.

Sleeve Length:

  1. Grab a tape measure and measure from the point where your neck intersects your shoulders.
  2. Run the tape along the top of your shoulder and down the outside of your arm toward your wrist.
  3. End the measurement where you want the cuff of your sleeve to sit.
  4. Round your measurement to the nearest whole number and record your measurement on your MESH01 Profile.

Bust & Bra Size:

  1. First let’s find your band size.
    • To find your band size, start by taking your tape measure and measure around your back where the bra band sits.
    • Ensure the measuring tape is level and not too tight.
    • Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add four inches. If it’s odd, add five. Your band size is the sum of this calculation.
  2. Next measure your bust.
    • To find your bust size, start by wrapping the tape measure around your back, under your shoulder blades, and over the fullest part of your bust.
    • Round to the nearest whole number.
  3. Finally, calculate cup size:
    • To calculate your cup size. Subtract your band size from your bust measurement to determine cup size.
  4. Record your size on your MESH01 Profile.

Chest Size:

  1. Begin by wrapping your tape measure around the fullest part of your chest and back.
  2. Ensure the tape passes over your shoulder blades.
  3. Round to the nearest whole number and record on your size on your MESH01 Profile

Waist Measurement:

  1. Grab your measuring tape above your belly button and measure around your back.
  2. Ensure you are keeping the tape snug but not tight, agasint your body.
  3. Round to the nearest whole number and record on your MESH01 Profile.

Bicep Size:

  1. Relaxed Biceps: Stand straight with arms relaxed at your sides and measure the midpoint between your shoulder and elbow.
  2. Flexed Biceps: Sit at a table, rest your arm on it, and make a fist. Flex your forearm toward your shoulder as if doing a bicep curl. Measure the highest point of your biceps with a soft measuring tape.
  3. Record your flexed bicep measurement on your MESH01 profile.

Shirts and Jackets:

For both shirt & jacket clothing sizes, you typically need to measure several key areas of your body. Including:

  • Neck size
  • Chest size
  • Waist size
  • Sleeve length
  • Shoulder width

Once you have these measurements, you can compare them to the clothing sizing chart provided by your favorite brand! Choose the size that you typically wear amongst most brands/ is most comfortable for you!

Pants Size (Alpha):

  1. Start by measuring your waist
  2. Once you have these measurements, you can compare them to the sizing chart provided by your favorite brand!
  3. Match your waist measurement to the corresponding alpha size (e.g., S, M, L, XL).
  4. Choose the clothing size that you typically wear amongst most brands and that is most comfortable for you!
  5. Record your size on your MESH01 Profile

Pants Size (Numeric):

  1. Start by measuring your waist (see above for instructions) measure Your Waist:
  2. Then, measure your inseam (see below for instructions)
  3. Once you have these measurements, you can compare them to the sizing chart provided by your favorite brand!
  4. Match your waist measurement and inseam length to the corresponding numeric size (e.g., 28, 30, 32, etc.)
  5. Choose the clothing size that you typically wear amongst most brands and that is most comfortable for you!
  6. Record your size on your MESH01 Profile.

Inseam Length:

  1. Start by grabbing your tape measure
  2. Measure from just below the crotch to the bottom of the ankle, either directly or along the seam of a pair of your best-fitting pants laid flat.
  3. Round to the nearest whole number and record measurement on your MESH01 profile.

Thigh Size:

  1. Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Locate the widest part of your thigh near the hip and groin.
  3. Wrap your tape measure around parallel to the ground. Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight.
  4. Round to the nearest whole number and record the measurement on your MESH01 Profile.

Glove Size:

  1. Start by finding your hand circumference.
    • Take tour tape measure and measure around your palm just below the knuckles. Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight.
    • Round to the nearest whole number
  2. From here, measure your finger length.
    • You can do this by measuring from the c.rease of your finger to the tip.
    • Round to the nearest whole number
  3. Then measure you hand length
    • You can do this by measuring the wrist crease from the top of your middle finger.
    • Round to the nearest whole number.
  4. Once you have these measurements, you can compare them to the sizing chart provided by your favorite brand!
  5. Choose the size you typically wear amongst most brands and the most comfortable for you!
  6. Record your size on your MESH01 Profile.
